100 Women Who Care - Polk/Burnett recently held their February quarterly meeting at Wilkins Bar & Resort in Luck. This was their fist meeting using a new presentation format allowing for four presenters, two of which received donations from the group. At the meeting, four non-profit groups presented to the women, explaining their missions, needs, and what they would do with the donation if they were selected to receive it. Members voted for the group they deemed most deserving, ultimately choosing to award the primary donation of $10,000 to the St. Croix Police K-9 Association. The non-profit group receiving the second most votes was Feed My Neighbor Community Food Pantry, who received $3,600. 100 Women Who Care - Polk/Burnett plan to hold their next meeting on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024.
